Cultural diversity.

Mercedes-Benz is an international company. The collaboration of various nationalities in the workplace is part of our daily routine. Around 175,000 people¹ from 150 different countries share a common goal: To build the most desirable vehicles in the world.

Internationality is a strategic field of action of our diversity, equity and inclusion management. This is because we see cultural diversity as a valuable asset to our company. Just as our customers can be found around the world, we are also internationally oriented and work together globally. For example, our software engineers are already jointly developing software for our vehicles across six different countries.

Initiatives and programs

We want to bring different perspectives together at all levels of our hierarchy. Therefore, we promote intercultural competence within our workforce through internal programs and raise awareness, for example, with training on unconscious biases in interactions. We also offer international assignments for our employees. Thinking globally, personal development, and getting to know new cultures and working environments – these opportunities are offered to our employees in foreign assignments around the world.

Racism has no place at Mercedes-Benz

With its values, Mercedes-Benz stands for respect, fairness and humanity. On the international day against racism, the company reiterates clearly that racism and agitation have no place, neither in society nor at Mercedes-Benz.

Mercedes-Benz Voices: The stage belongs to our employees.

Like almost 23 million people living in Germany, our colleague Farha Savas has an immigrant background. She grew up in a different culture and co-founded an employee network at Mercedes-Benz. Farha says it is important to be open to other people. At Mercedes-Benz Voices, she explains what she thinks about the topic of migration and integration and offers up what contributions you can make to ensure a harmonious coexistence of different cultures.
