Aerodynamics at Mercedes-Benz.

Aerodynamics at Mercedes-Benz.

Aerodynamic optimisation can contribute to vehicle efficiency and driving comfort. Mercedes-Benz has many years of experience in aerodynamic development and uses modern simulation, wind tunnel and testing facilities in the vehicle development process.

Crash-test: An EQA and an EQS SUV collided head-on with a 50 percent overlap in a real-life accident scenario, each travelling at 56 km/h.

Safety.

Mercedes-Benz is inventor of modern vehicle safety – and remains a pioneer in the field to this day.

Our development work is guided by a clear goal: to create technologies that enhance the driving and charging experience while advancing electric drivetrains, intelligent charging solutions and the integration of vehicles into the energy ecosystem.

Completely new steering feel and superior control with virtually no effort required.

Steer-by-wire becomes reality in the new EQS.

Just a few months after its market launch, the new EQS will be available with steer-by-wire technology. As the first German car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz will thus offer a production vehicle with this technology.

MB.DRIVE ASSIST PRO.

Mercedes-Benz presents the next generation of the MB. DRIVE technology.

Total distance covered: 1,205 km without recharging. Remaining range: 137 km.

Solid-state battery covers 1,205 km.

A lightly modified EQS test vehicle equipped with a lithium-metal solid-state battery completed a 1,205-kilometre demonstration drive from Stuttgart to Malmö without recharging, arriving with a remaining indicated range of 137 kilometres. The result demonstrates the technology’s potential for long-distance driving under the conditions of this specific test.

Mercedes-Benz Experimental-Charging-Vehicle.

ELF experimental charging vehicle.

The ELF experimental charging vehicle serves as a technology demonstrator for intelligent charging applications. It is used to evaluate how electric vehicles can interact with charging infrastructure and the energy system under real-world conditions.
