Our global initiatives.

We rely on dialog and participation, continuously inviting our employees to engage with various aspects of diversity, equity and inclusion. For example, the Mercedes-Benz Inclusion Week has been organised worldwide for many years around Diversity Day. It focuses on consciously experiencing diversity, taking on new perspectives and understanding that all Mercedes-Benz employees benefit from diversity, equity and inclusion. Surrounding the International Women's Day on March 8, we use various formats to raise awareness for the promotion of women and equal opportunities each year. We also proudly and vibrantly showcase our support for the LGBTIQ+ community at international PRIDE parades (Christopher Street Days/CSDs), loudly and colourfully. Our employee networks are passionate about these and many other initiatives. They further highlight the diversity within the company. In addition to various women's networks, this includes, for example, ethnic networks that see themselves as bridge builders between cultures, as well as LGBTIQ+- networks that promote the acceptance of sexual orientation and gender identities in everyday work life.

Mercedes-Benz is part of the first global initiative specifically aimed at advancing and empowering women in companies – the UN Women’s Empowerment Principles. These principles encompass seven guidelines for gender equality. By signing, Mercedes-Benz commits to integrating these principles into its business practices.
