The Mercedes-Benz Gastronomy.

Mercedes-Benz Gastronomy GmbH is located at a total of seven locations across Germany with more than 700 employees. Being part of the Mercedes-Benz AG, we are experts in catering activities and central point of contact for all gastronomy-related enquiries.

Our in-house gastronomic offerings range from more than 20 canteens and 45 shops to event catering and guest- and conference-catering. The conference house “Lämmerbuckel” as well as the conference and meeting management complete our portfolio.

We offer our guests a wide range of healthy and well balanced cuisine

As Mercedes-Benz Gastronomy, we contribute to a healthy and climate-friendly nutrition through various measures. For example, with our health score (“Gastronomisches Ampelsystem”) we identify the health value of each meal and thus show at one glance which dishes support a balanced nutrition. In addition, we offer our employees throughout Germany a purely plant-based menu line in our canteens every day as well as a comprehensive vegetarian and vegan selection in our shops.

Above all, our daily aspiration is to ensure that Mercedes-Benz employees experience a pleasant break in our canteens and shops as well as at events and conferences with our diverse range of gastronomic services.

Climate-friendly dishes

Since 2022, we have also been displaying the climate balance of our meals and thus supporting our guests in making conscious and climate-friendly food decisions. Through the selection of our food and an appropriate range of meals, we pursue the goal of reducing the carbon footprint of the food we buy and produce.

European Chicken Commitment

The European Chicken Commitment  is an association of more than 30 European animal welfare organizations that aim to improve the husbandry conditions for broilers. By joining the Commitment, we are consistently pursuing our goal of contributing to animal welfare and sustainability within our gastronomic services. From 2026 at the latest, we will only purchase chicken that has been produced in accordance to animal welfare criteria that exceed the legal minimum standard. This includes for example a lower stocking density, minimum standards for light as well as activity materials for the animals. We will report annually on the progress of implementation.

Mercedes-Benz canteens are eco-certified

The origin and quality of our products are important to us. Wherever possible, we obtain our products locally and from organic farming. Therefore, we specifically focus on the use of certified organic ingredients in our canteens and our aim is to constantly increase their proportion. An important step on the way there: the certification of all Mercedes-Benz Gastronomy canteens in the line with the Bio-Außer-Haus-Verpflegungs-Verordnung (AHVV), which Mercedes-Benz Gastronomy GmbH received in April 2024.
