They will succeed Dame Polly Courtice and Prof. Dr. Helene Svahn, who will step down from the Board at the close of the Annual General Meeting on April 16, 2026.
Dr.-Ing. Dipl.-Wirt.-Ing. Katharina Beumelburg has been Chief Sustainability & New Technologies Officer and a member of the Managing Board of Heidelberg Materials since October 2024. In this role, she is responsible for the company’s global decarbonization strategy and drives the use of new technologies and business models in this field. Previously, she served as Chief Strategy and Sustainability Officer at SLB (formerly Schlumberger) in the United States and held senior positions at Siemens and Siemens Energy. She has more than 20 years of international experience in sustainability, innovation, energy transition, and industrial transformation.
Dr. Rashmi Misra is a recognized expert in artificial intelligence, data platforms, and emerging technologies. As Chief AI Officer at Analog Devices (USA), she was most recently responsible for the company’s global AI strategy and played a key role in advancing AI-powered sensing technologies in industrial automation and robotics. Prior to that, she spent more than six years at Microsoft, including serving as Vice President AI, Data & Emerging Technologies. Earlier in her career, she held positions at Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Motorola.
With Katharina Beumelburg and Rashmi Misra, we are gaining two internationally recognized leaders whose expertise will reinforce the Supervisory Board’s focus on key areas vital for the company’s future success. Katharina Beumelburg brings extensive experience in industrial transformation and the implementation of global decarbonization strategies. With Rashmi Misra, we are welcoming a leading expert in artificial intelligence and digital technologies, who will bring fresh perspectives to advance innovation and enhance Mercedes-Benz’s competitiveness. On behalf of the entire Supervisory Board, I would like to sincerely thank Dame Polly Courtice and Helene Svahn for their outstanding work and great dedication. Both have accompanied the strategic development of Mercedes-Benz with foresight, expertise, and passion, and have made significant contributions to the work of the Supervisory Board over the past years. We wish them all the very best for the future.
