Visual Digital Trust.

Digital Trust.

The world is in the midst of a digital transformation. We want to take advantage of the great opportunities this rapid change brings. Responsible and transparent handling of data and Artificial Intelligence are some of the standards we set ourselves. The resulting trust from important stakeholder groups is crucial to the success of our digital innovations.

As one of six focus areas, Digital Trust is therefore an essential part of our holistic understanding of sustainability at Mercedes-Benz. The mobility of the future will be shaped by digital technologies and services. They are an integral part of our vehicles. Our goal is to strengthen the trust of our customers and other stakeholders – in us as a company and in the responsible way we deal with digital innovations.

For us, this is about much more than data security and data protection. Digital Trust encompasses the sustainable, responsible and ethically correct handling of data and new digital technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Visual Handling of Data.

We handle business and personal data responsibly. Our intuitive and transparent services give customers an overview of their data so they can decide at any time which data they entrust to us.

Handling AI.

We believe that Artificial Intelligence can help to positively shape the future and improve our customers’ mobility experience. In addition to AI’s great potential, we are aware of the risks and uncertainties associated with it.

Handling data responsibly is part of our corporate digital responsibility. We are focusing on transparency, self-determination, and data security. When our engineers develop new services and products, they sit down at a table with their colleagues from the corporate data protection and legal departments so that they can find solutions together.

Digital technologies, products and services are developing at enormous speed. Our aim is to help shape this development and take advantage of its opportunities. An important basis for this is our employees’ digital literacy, which we are continuously expanding and deepening through training courses, workshops and seminars. We also focus on cybersecurity, i.e. the seamless protection of our computer systems, IT infrastructure, networks and data against unauthorised access, theft, loss or misuse – because safety is an integral part of our Mercedes-Benz DNA. Our global cybersecurity implements international regulations, monitors technical protective measures and conducts prevention. As a vehicle manufacturer, we also take account of the specific security requirements for vehicle cybersecurity to ensure safe mobility through proactive risk management and continuous development of our security systems. Ultimately, we want to earn and confirm the trust of customers, employees and investors by handling data and Artificial Intelligence responsibly and transparently – every day anew.
