Mercedes-Benz Pride.

May 26, 2023 – Mercedes-Benz is a strong brand with strong values. We stand for openness, trust and fairness. With us, it does not matter where you come from, who you love or what gender you feel you identify. With Mercedes-Benz Pride, we raise our flag for exactly that.

We value individuality and we are enriched by our sense of diversity. This means that all of our employees should feel comfortable to embrace who they are and express their sexual orientation and gender identity, just as they do with any other aspect of life.

In close collaboration between the management, Mercedes-Benz entities, associated LGBTQIA+ employee networks and Business Resource Groups - such as UNITY, Spectrum and Queers & Friends - as well as various community partners, we have been campaigning for the LGBTQIA+ community inside and outside of Mercedes-Benz for many years. This collaborative approach exemplifies the company's commitment to fostering a culture of diversity, appreciation and respect for all employees, including those who belong to the LGBTQIA+ community. With dialogue formats, online training and the open invitation to all employees to participate and learn in year-round Pride activities, we raise awareness of each other and create greater belonging. This also supports a working environment where the uniqueness of each team member is valued and everyone is treated fairly.

In the "Mercedes-Benz Voices" format, Valentin Novosel talks about his personal transformation and why it is so important to be able to be who you are in the workplace.

In many cities, we support the local communities with company sponsorship and employee volunteerism activities. For example, Mercedes-Benz has been a supporter of Free & Equal - Tackling Discrimination against Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, & Intersex People since 2018. In order to demonstrate our commitment to diversity and equal opportunities, we regularly use our wide-reaching international Mercedes-Benz social media channels to reach a global audience.

We reaffirmed our commitment to Mercedes-Benz Pride by joining the UN Global Compact initiative to combat discrimination against gay, bi, trans & intersex (LGBTI+) people in 2018.
