Precisely for this reason, as Mercedes-Benz Pride, we fly the flag high all around the world in order to support our employees and the rainbow community.
We want our employees to be able to openly declare their sexual orientation and gender identity. This applies to homosexuals and bisexuals as well as to trans* persons or intersexual people.
In close cooperation between the management, employee representatives and employee networks, we therefore, promote dialogue with our employees in order to raise awareness of the fact that diversity and equal opportunities affect everyone. For example, under the motto '365 Days of Pride', various online talks by and with our worker networks take place throughout the year. Together with our Diversity & Inclusion officers, we invite all employees to get involved and stand strong with and for the rainbow community.
We also regularly set an example with our participation in various parades and events of the worldwide rainbow community. For example, the Pride Tour 2019 toured a total of 15 cities - from the USA to Asia, from Europe to South Africa and South America.
Behind our internal and external Pride activities are a large number of employees who, in addition to their work, work together with our LGBTIQ+ networks to ensure that a culture of understanding and tolerance is created and maintained in everyday working life. As Mercedes-Benz, we appreciate that although we are all unique and have our differences, we are also united and share common ground through sameness and similarities. Everyone different. All equal.
