January 07, 2026 – At CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Mercedes-Benz presented the new CLA with the next generation of the MB. DRIVE technology.
MB. DRIVE was developed in partnership between Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA to create the best possible customer experience in driver assistance systems.
NVIDIA is the global partner for the next generation of advanced driver assistance systems from Mercedes-Benz, providing NVIDIA's AI, full-stack DRIVE AV software, and the accelerated compute platform NVIDIA DRIVE AGX.
With MB. DRIVE ASSIST PRO from Mercedes-Benz merges driving assistance and navigation to create a new, safe driving experience. At the touch of a button, the vehicle can navigate through the city with advanced SAE Level 2 support - from parking lot to destination. Thanks to Mercedes-Benz's cooperative steering approach, steering adjustments can be made at any time without deactivating the system.
MB. DRIVE ASSIST PRO uses around 30 sensors, including ten cameras, five radar sensors and twelve ultrasonic sensors. They deliver raw data to a powerful supercomputer that can store up to 508 TOPs (unit of measurement for AI performance; Terra Operations per Second/Trillion Operations per Second).
MB. DRIVE ASSIST PRO has been available in China since the end of 2025 and will also be launched in the US market later this year.
