Facts and figures

Mercedes-Benz Plant Hamburg.

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Hamburg has been part of the global Mercedes-Benz production network since 1978. Its portfolio includes axles and axle components, steering columns and lightweight structural parts as well as exhaust technology components. In addition, the plant also assembles integrated starter-generators.

Since 2022, the Hamburg plant has been supplying the Bremen plant with electric axles – including for the EQE. By mid of the decade, the plant will take over the production and assembly of the electric axles and components for a model of the Mercedes-Benz Electric Architecture platform for the Bremen plant about 100 km away. Components for the Mercedes Modular Architecture platform will also be part of the Hamburg plant's production scope from 2024.
