Mercedes-Benz Digital Factory Campus Berlin: Driver for the digital transformation in production.

Facts and figures

Mercedes-Benz Plant Berlin.

Founded in 1902, the Berlin plant is the oldest Mercedes-Benz production site and is responsible for manufacturing various powertrain components. By integrating electric drive components, the plant has already mapped its course for the future. The portfolio of the Berlin plant now includes assembly of electric drive units and the EE-compartment, as a battery’s electrical control unit is known.

From 2026, the site will expand its electric portfolio further with the assembly of high-performance electric motors. And with the "Mercedes-Benz Digital Factory Campus", which opened in autumn 2022, the plant also plays a key role in the digitisation of production within the global network.
