Olaf Schick was born on February 15, 1972, in Tübingen, Germany. After graduating from high school, Olaf Schick studied law at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz, graduating with the Second State Examination in 2000. Additionally, he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Notre Dame in London (Great Britain). Afterwards, he worked as a lawyer in various law firms. In 2004, Olaf Schick joined the Group for the first time as legal counsel in the Legal Department.
This Board of Management position includes Mercedes-Benz Group’s Legal Department, the Compliance Organization and the Legal Product & Technology as well as the Corporate Data Protection and Corporate Audit. It is also responsible for respecting and protecting human rights and for the sustained anchoring of a corporate culture of integrity (Integrity & Sustainability Management) throughout the Group. A cross-divisional steering and coordination function for sustainability management in the company is anchored in this area too.
