The Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen started passenger car production in 1978 with the 123 model estate. With around 11,500 employees, the plant is the largest private employer in the region. More than 10 million vehicles have now been produced at the site. Plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles have been an integral part of the product portfolio for several years.
In 2022, the Mercedes-Benz plant in Bremen began production of the all-electric EQE business sedan. In 2019, the EQC (Electricity Consumption Combined: 21.5 kWh/100 km; CO₂ emissions combined: 0 g/km)[1] at the Mercedes-Benz plant in northern Germany. Next to the plant is the Mercedes-Benz Customer Center Bremen. The customer center is a popular event location in the region and offers factory tours in various formats and, as a special highlight, the off-road course "The Rock!".
