Mercedes-Benz Plant Beijing.

Beijing Benz Automotive Co., Ltd (BBAC), a joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and BAIC Motor, a subsidiary of its Chinese partner BAIC Group, has been producing Mercedes-Benz passenger cars since 2005 and engines since 2013. BBAC is an important part of Mercedes-Benz's global production network.

The first all-electric Mercedes-EQ model, the EQC, rolled off the production line in 2019, followed by the EQA and EQB in 2021. Last year, the product portfolio was enriched by the all-electric EQE business sedan, followed by the EQE SUV in 2023.

Mercedes-Benz and BAIC have jointly set up local battery production at the existing site in the Yizhuang Industrial Park in Beijing (China). Since 2019, it has been supplying the nearby vehicle plant with battery systems for all the EQ models.

Since 2020, production has also been carried out at its second plant in Beijing's Shunyi district.
