Mercedes-Benz Plant Jawor.

Facts and figures

Mercedes-Benz Plant Jawor.

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Jawor started producing highly efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines in 2019. Since 2020, the site's battery factory has been supplying plug-in hybrid batteries for the C-, E- and S-Class to the company's global production network. In 2020, the plant expanded its portfolio to include battery systems for the compact EQ models EQA and EQB.

The Jawor plant will also become a part of the van production network. In the future, all-electric large vans based on VAN.EA will be produced in Jawor. Mercedes-Benz Cars is using the flexibility of its global production network and intends to gradually reduce the current scope of engine and battery production in Jawor and localize it in the Mercedes-Benz Powertrain production network. This will enable the transformation of the current powertrain plant in Jawor into a van plant including high synergies.
