The Mercedes-Benz plant in Jawor started producing highly efficient four-cylinder gasoline and diesel engines in 2019. Since 2020, the site's battery factory has been supplying plug-in hybrid batteries for the C-, E- and S-Class to the company's global production network. In 2020, the plant expanded its portfolio to include battery systems for the compact Mercedes-EQ models EQA and EQB.
The Jawor plant will also become a part of the van production network, assembling large vans (closed model/panel van) based on the electric VAN.EA platform.
