Mercedes-Benz is very concerned about the suffering of civilians in Israel, Gaza, and the entire region. Already in October, Mercedes-Benz donated one million euros in total to the aid organisations United Hatzalah and the German Red Cross. The German Red Cross in cooperation with its sister organizations the Palestinian Red Crescent (PRCS) and the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERCS), are currently organizing humanitarian aid for Palestinian civilians. United Hatzalah is a volunteer-based Israeli non-governmental organisation (NGO) which provides emergency medical response within minutes of any medical emergency for free throughout Israel.
In November, Mercedes-Benz expanded its contribution to humanitarian aid on the ground with an additional donation of one million euros to the German Red Cross.
With its donations the company wants to make a contribution to alleviate the suffering of civilians in Israel and Gaza alike.
Allegations in recent media reports and social media conversations claiming that the company has made a donation to any military organisation are untrue.
Mercedes-Benz helps in areas where the exceptional situation prevails with targeted humanitarian support. Mercedes-Benz maintains a network of long-term partnerships with major international NGOs or donates to regional NGOs as needed to respond directly to crises and provide targeted humanitarian support on the ground.
