In 2022, Mercedes-Benz achieved a record price of €135 million through auctioning the 1955 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé. The proceeds from the most expensive automobile in history formed the seed capital for the beVisioneers fellowship program.
DO School Fellowships gGmbH, a non-profit organization, develops and implements the program, which supports creative and committed 18- to 28-year-olds with their innovative ideas for environmental and sustainability projects. The participants are selected by DO School gGmbH and come from various countries and backgrounds.
The fellows complete a two-year hybrid learning and support phase with secured project funding, coaching, and an intensive program focusing on leadership, entrepreneurship, and the implementation and scaling of concrete sustainability projects. They are accompanied by mentors from all over the world, including Mercedes-Benz employees in their free time.
Each year, beVisioneers accepts round about 250 new environmental innovators.
