Mercedes-Benz Plant Buenos Aires.

The Mercedes-Benz plant in Buenos Aires was founded in 1951 and celebrated its 70th anniversary in 2021.

This makes it the oldest plant in the Mercedes-Benz Group outside Germany. Since then, various passenger car, van, bus and truck models have been produced. The start of production for the Sprinter van began 1996. The current Sprinter model has been produced here since 2019. In 2023, the 400,000th Sprinter van rolled off the production line at the Argentinian plant. The exportation of right-hand drive vehicles to Australia, South Africa and New Zealand began 2001 and the start of CKD production (Completely Knocked Down) for the NAFTA market began in 2016.
