With over 12,500 employees, the Mercedes-Benz Bremen Plant is the largest private employer in the region.
The following eight models are currently produced at the location: the C-Class Sedan, Wagon and Coupe, the E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, the GLK SUV and the two SLK and SL Roadsters. In 2016, the plant additionally gained two new models, including the C-Class Cabriolet. In 2015, the plant was honored as "Factory of the Year" in the category of large-series production. As a center of competence for the C-Class, the Mercedes-Benz Bremen Plant manages the worldwide production of the best-selling model series from Mercedes-Benz in the foreign plants in Tuscaloosa, USA, Beijing, China, and East London, South Africa. The production of the new GLC is also managed from Bremen as the primary production location.
